Kitchen & Bath Design FAQs

Preparing for a Kitchen or Bath Remodel

Foremost on any project you must establish a budget that will allow you to complete the job from start to finish.

Kitchen
This kitchen designed with DeWils Cabinets. To find out more about these and other fine products please contact us.

With that number in mind, start looking through designer and/or trade magazines. Find a look that you would like to go for. Try to familiarize yourself with the brands.

Next you must get measurements of the entire area that you are going to remodel, this includes cabinets, appliances, toilets, sinks, showers and/or baths.

Next select a dealer or designer that you are comfortable working with. We recommend going to a few places and ask many questions. You want to make sure you are working with a company that is right for your job.

Bathroom

Some questions to consider:

1. What are the design fees, if any?

2. What is the length of time for delivery?

3. What is the length of time your house will be under construction?

Also, ask to see samples of the cabinets, accessories and pictures of some remodels that the dealer or designer has completed. It is also a good idea to ask for a list of references from other remodel clients.

By creating a good working relationship with the dealer/designer you chose, your remodeling project will progress smoothly. Be sure to speak to them frankly about all of your expectations, you will be glad you did!
